Meet Chef Gal

Gal Ben Moyal is the chef behind GILO, a private chef experience rooted in modern Levantine cuisine and the comfort of homemade food.

Originally from Israel, Gal’s cooking brings together professional kitchen experience, Mediterranean flavors, and a love for generous hosting. After working in restaurants in Tel Aviv and New York, including Malka by Eyal Shani and Or’Esh in SoHo, he returned to what he loves most: creating intimate meals around real people, real homes, and meaningful tables.

GILO is Gal’s way of bringing his passion and expertise to New York - food that is thoughtful, abundant, seasonal, and made to be shared.
